Why 2.5 million reasons? That’s the total amount of money, $2.5 million, that the Good Neighbors Shoppe has donated to Loudon County charities that benefits schools, civic organizations, and our neediest neighbors. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and, of course, our shoppers, the Good Neighbors Shoppe and you have made a significant contribution to the lives of many thousands of individuals and our community as a whole.
You may not know this, but not one of our staff members or volunteers receive any compensation. That helps us to not only manage our costs, but it also helps us to maximize the contributions we are able to make within our community.
The concept is a simple one: Identify highly motivated volunteers to serve in a variety of positions at the Good Neighbors Shoppe. Next, encourage people just like you to contribute their gently used clothing and other household items. Finally, encourage shoppers to visit our beautiful retail store and to take advantage of tremendous savings on a large selection of items, including furniture, apparel, art, books, kitchenware, collectibles, and much more.
Thanks to your generosity, what the Good Neighbors Shoppe has been able to achieve on behalf of our Loudon County community has been truly remarkable. If you would like to learn how you can become more involved with the Good Neighbors Shoppe, whether as a volunteer, donor, or shopper, we invite you to visit us during our normal business hours.
Coming during the month of August, we are promoting our linens area of our store, where you will discover huge savings on bedding, tablecloths, dust ruffles, place settings, pillows, curtains and valances, and throws. Also, watch for our upcoming art sale. We have recently received more than 100 pieces of art for resale.
Also, don’t forget that on September 18th, we will feature our autumn change over, so look for even a wider selection of fall apparel and savings on our remaining in-store spring and summer clothing.
