The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church of Tellico Village presents: A CELEBRATION OF GOD AND COUNTRY

The Music and Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church of Tellico Village is once again pleased to present A Celebration of God and Country on Saturday and Sunday, May 27 and 28, at 7:00 p.m. The program features the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, along with members of the Tellico Singers and the Knoxville Symphony. This musical celebration is under the direction of Rev. David Whipple, Jr., Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Tellico Village.
The program will feature music that celebrates those who have fought for and paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. You’ll hear traditional patriotic favorites such as the rousing “Salute to the Armed Forces” (which includes the songs for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard), “America,” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” along with moving pieces such as “Hymn to the Fallen,” by John Williams, “The Folded Flag,” by Joseph Martin, and the haunting “Blades of Grass and Pure White Stone.” This program will remind us that our ultimate freedom comes through our faith in God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross as payment for our sins.
