While nearly everyone knows that a CPA designation means Certified Public Accountant, very few of us are familiar with the expertise they possess or the scope of the work they can perform, and probably even fewer of us ever anticipate requiring the need to retain a CPA in the future, believing instead that CPAs work exclusively with large businesses or the mega-wealthy. The fact is that CPAs possess an uncommon level of accounting and financial expertise that can be of value to just about everyone.
At our office in Lenoir City, we offer a wide range of services, including bookkeeping, state and federal tax preparation, estate and tax planning, payroll returns and quarterly and annual filings, preparation of financial returns, annual business reports, sales tax filings, 1099 preparation, monthly bank reconciliations, state, city, and local tax and license preparation, and we can represent you at a tax audit before the IRS. Perhaps the most important quality that we exhibit in addition to our past and continuing education, certification, and years of experience is our ability to grasp comprehensive and oftentimes complex situations, recognizing that a decision in one financial area of your life or your business can often have long lasting, profound, and unintended consequences on other financial areas.
We don’t have a typical client, as clients can vary significantly in their financial needs. And while CPAs often charge more per hour than a bookkeeper or even an accountant, they often cost far less over time due to their ability to grasp complex situations with a full understanding of how any situation can impact other areas of your personal life or business.
