Celebrating Our Freedoms

July, and in particular July 4th, has always represented something special to me. It’s a time when our nation celebrates its many freedoms that so many have sacrificed for more than two centuries to protect and preserve for future generations.
At the Good Neighbors Shoppe, it also has special meaning, as 2016 marks our 15th anniversary when my late husband, Gene, and I, in addition to a small group of dedicated volunteers, came together to form this grassroots charitable organization dedicated to giving back to the community we so proudly serve.
Comprised of volunteers and donors, none of who receive any compensation, the Good Neighbors Shoppe is proud to have donated more than $2 million to both our neighbors in need and to the community organizations that serve them. I would like to thank everyone who has made this mission possible, and thank you in advance for an even brighter future. None of this would have been possible without all of our generous and civic-minded donors and volunteers.
I would also like to thank our loyal customers who have shopped with us since 2001. In addition to purchasing quality, gently used merchandise for up to 90% off original retail prices, your purchases have been instrumental in reaching our $2 million donation milestone.
