There’s just something special about fall in Downtown Sweetwater. When the air starts to feel a little cooler, the leaves begin to change, and our historic downtown takes on that cozy autumn feeling, we can’t think of a better place to spend the day. Over the years, we’ve watched Sweetwater grow into such a wonderful destination for shopping, eating, and simply slowing down for a few hours — and as members of this community, there’s nothing we love more than welcoming visitors into town and sharing some of our favorite places with them.
Of course, we hope your first stop is The Lily Pad! Fall is one of our very favorite seasons in the store, and there is always something new to see. Our racks are filled with the latest fall arrivals — beautiful sweaters, jackets, dresses, denim, accessories, and all the pieces that make getting dressed this time of year so much fun. But more than anything, we want every person who walks through our doors to feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. No perfect fall day is complete without good food and something delicious to drink, and Downtown Sweetwater has plenty of both. Start your morning with a cup of coffee from Cup Runneth Over, then enjoy lunch at one of our wonderful local restaurants. The Lazy Beagle, Vittorino’s Italian, and Hunter’s Cafe each offer their own unique atmosphere and delicious menu, making it easy to find something everyone will enjoy. And before you head home, you simply have to stop by Sweetwater Creamery for a scoop of homemade ice cream, because we happen to believe ice cream season is every season!
Make sure you leave plenty of time to explore the rest of downtown, too. Right next door to us, Relaxed & Refined Menswear is the perfect stop for the men in your life, with an amazing selection of stylish men’s clothing and accessories. Throughout downtown, you’ll also find wonderful antique shops and gift stores filled with one-of-a-kind treasures, home decor, unique gifts, and so many things you simply won’t find at a big-box store. That’s part of what makes shopping in Sweetwater so much fun… every doorway holds something a little different, and you never know what you might discover!
