From our family to yours
No one in their extended family could have imagined that what began as a hobby for each of them would one day bring them all together into a single business. But that’s exactly what happened just over a year ago.
First designing and then creating primitive home décor and Adirondack chairs, which was sold at regional craft shows, has now resulted in a “brick and mortar” store on Highway 11 in nearby Lenoir City. Husband and wife team, Vince and Mary Ann Clayton, their daughters CeCe and Cindy, Cindy’s husband, Steve, and their three children, and Mary Ann’s brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Linda Howell, have all combined their energies and talents under one roof.
A treasure trove of unique primitive home décor items, most inspired and crafted by a family member, awaits you at Country Kinfolk that you just won’t find anywhere else. And because over 75% of everything in the shoppe is designed and hand-crafted there, you’ll be certain to appreciate the pricing.
All items, including hand-crafted furniture, are beautifully displayed within a cottage like setting in individual vignettes designed to inspire shoppers. And yes, they will paint or stain items you select to order, as well as custom make furniture to suit your individual tastes.
Also ask to see samples of repurposed furniture. Particularly unusual is a beautiful bench that was once a bed, head and footboard.
If you’re in the market for unique, often one-of-a-kind primitive home décor items, Adirondack furniture or custom made furniture, all at an affordable price, your family is invited to visit the Country Kinfolk family at their Country Kinfolk shoppe at 5155 Highway 11 East in Lenoir City. Area crafters are invited to ask about available booth space at Country Kinfolk where they can display their art and craft creations.
