First Baptist Church of Tellico Village invites the area community to celebrate the Advent and Christmas season with us starting with the Hanging of the Green on November 27th; the first Sunday of Advent. Worship services Sunday are at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. For those that have not experienced a Hanging of the Green Service, it is a very special worship service in which our congregation adorns the church with Christmas and Advent decorations. During this annual worship celebration, our sanctuary is transformed with the symbols of the season as we worship together through scripture and carols. Live streaming of the service will be available at 10:30 am by going to our website at www.fbctv.org.
On Sunday and Monday, December 4th, and 5th, at 7:00 p.m., our Music and Worship Ministry will present, “The Joy of Christmas”. This outstanding musical celebration is conducted by our Minister of Music, David Whipple, Jr., with narration by Sauni Rinehart, and will feature our Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, along with members of Tellico Singers and the Knoxville Symphony. Admission is free, but tickets are required. Free tickets are available through the church office beginning November 1st.
