Community Church at Tellico Village Goes Worldwide

The Community Church at Tellico Village serves a wide area of Loudon/Blount/Monroe counties in East Tennessee, and it is now expanding its impact worldwide with two separate strategies.
The first impact involves bringing their 10:15 am service to the Internet via a live YouTube feed every Sunday. It is now possible not only to watch and worship with this dynamic congregation from anywhere on Sunday morning, but also past services are archived on the church’s website. By simply visiting the church’s website and with one click, you can enjoy the 80+ person choir, hear an important message, and celebrate using a phone, personal computer, or smart TV. “We believe that while we look outward within our surrounding communities to serve, reaching those that are beyond our local area or are challenged with travel allows us to increase our mission and service,” said Steve Prevatte, Sr. Pastor. “Using the Internet with our live broadcast each Sunday to share our message or traveling to provide service to others that are less fortunate allows our congregation to share their blessings.”
The second impact is the new “Go Forth” ministry. This new mission was created to assist those local, national, or international communities that need support after a natural disaster. This past year more than $40,000 was raised, and a team from the Community Church traveled to southern Florida to provide aid, clean up, and support to victims of the massive hurricane. A new trip is now being planned to travel to North Carolina to provide support to a local community due to the recent flooding from hurricane Florence.
Locally the church’s “Go Forth” team is coordinating with Loudon and Monroe counties to understand their local disaster plans and needs. The church is currently planning to provide food services utilizing their kitchen facilities and deliver to those individuals in need or provide meals to firefighters, first responders, or others to the area.
The Community Church also invites everyone to their spaghetti dinners, free movie nights, and Fine Arts concert series. To learn more, visit www.tellicochurch.com/events.
The Community Church at Tellico Village is an inter-denominational church welcoming all faiths with services on Sunday at 8 and 10:15 am. This year they are celebrating 30 years serving the local communities in Loudon and Monroe counties. For more information, listen to our message at www.TellicoChurch.org.
