On The Lake Realty Welcomes Donna Leonard

On The Lake Realty would like to welcome Donna Leonard to their family of top selling real estate agents in East Tennessee!
Donna was born in Brandenburg, KY, a small town near Louisville and home of the Kentucky Derby, which she still goes to every year – and yes, wears a big hat! She lived in Joliet, IL, and Athens, TN, which were moves for her husband’s work. When their son, Daniel, started school, Donna started selling real estate with the agency that sold them their home in Athens. In her first year of business, Donna was voted Realtor of the Year in McMinn County. Actively selling real estate in the late ’80s and into the ’90s, Donna eventually opened her own company, earned her GRI, and also became a broker.
Donna moved to Rarity Bay in 2002, worked a couple of different jobs, and then was offered a job at Hoermann Garage Doors, where she became manager of the manufacturing plant. The company purchased another plant in Montgomery, IL, and moved the production there. Donna and her family had no desire to leave this beautiful area, so they stayed in Tennessee. She took a job at Maremont in Loudon and worked as a purchasing agent, purchasing steel for the plant. That company was subsequently purchased and moved out of state.
Three years ago Donna decided to go back to what she loved from the beginning, which was selling real estate. She began working for RE/MAX in Lenoir City, but as her business became more concentrated in Tellico Village and Rarity Bay, she decided to move to On The Lake Realty, a bit closer to home! Donna is confident having an office closer to her listings, buyers, and home, so she will be able to provide quicker and much better service to everyone.
When the well-earned free time is available, Donna enjoys riding her Harley (her OWN Harley) in the mountains and back roads and enjoys playing golf but feels like she needs to improve her game.
