If you think what you can’t see won’t hurt you, you’d be wrong if you were talking about your home’s roof. One unique characteristic of roofing is that a properly installed roof may appear very much the same as an improperly installed roof to the average homeowner. In roofing, it’s what you can’t see that will hurt you.
When I started my career as a contractor more than a decade ago, I routinely observed new roofs being installed and older roofs being replaced. As you might expect, the quality of installation varied significantly. Once the installation was completed, it was not always easy to tell the “good” from the “bad” jobs. That’s because what determines whether the job has been done correctly remains largely undetected, that is, below the surface.

» Each homeowner is provided with copies of our workers compensation and general liability insurance policies. We don’t ask you to take our word for it. This protects you from possible loss should a workplace accident occur.
» Every roof is installed in full compliance with the roofing manufacturer’s specifications. This ensures that your roofing manufacturer’s warranty is not voided when improperly installed.
» Every roof is installed in full compliance with local and state building codes. In fact, we use 30 year 3-Dimensional Shingles or greater instead of the 25 year 3-Tab Shingles, and we secure each shingle with five fasteners and not the four fasteners required by manufacturers and building codes. This results in 50% or greater holding power.
» Each and every valley is protected with a special ice and water barrier to provide added leak protection to these vulnerable spots at no additional charge. This is often ignored by many roofing contractors.
» We use synthetic felt instead of conventional roofing felt at no additional cost to the homeowner. This durable material provides a superior level of protection than that of conventional roofing felt paper.
» We install lifetime warrantee plumbing boot jacks on all through roof vent pipes when possible. Standard boots offer an average life expectancy of only four to five years.
» I personally consult with each homeowner and inspect each project.
» All bushes, shrubs, and landscaping are covered to protect them during your roofing project.
» We do not use the traditional large dump truck that can damage your driveway to discard of your old shingles; we use a 6×10 dump trailer that isn’t as heavy and large.
» All crews are uniformed, professional, and courteous.
» We are A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau and agree to perform to their standards for honesty and integrity and to comply with their guidelines to resolve consumer complaints.
